Fatal Boston Shooting Shuts Down Part Of Columbia Road In Dorchester

Part of Columbia Road in Boston was closed off after a man was shot to death Monday evening, May 22, according to authorities

Police responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 264 Columbia Road just before 5 p.m., Boston Police report. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. 

The man, who was shot in a car, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where later died, 7News reports

The shooting shut down the area of Ceylon Street, Geneva Avenue and Quincy Street for several hours, Boston Police said on Twitter

Investigators are now asking anyone with information to contact Boston Police at (617) 343-4470.
